    A JUST SOCIETY

EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW - COST FREE JUSTICE - COMMON LAW TRIAL BY JURY - ANNULMENT BY JURY - THE RIGHT AND DUTY OF JURERS TO JUDGE ON THE JUSTICE OF THE LAW

Equal opportunity is all about people having a fair chance at being who they want to be in life and society not holding anyone back, this is not to promote everyone to equality but to keep out of the way, to not go along with quotas and to avoid at all cost pursuing equal outcomes for groups. We are all different in our likes and dislikes but most people just want to live in a fair society that gives everyone a chance, in other words EQUAL OPPORTUNITY.

In Common Law every one is equal under the law and this could be useful to achieving equal opportunity. We have known for a long time that men do not have equal opportunities with women, in law, in family courts, in career opportunities, in education, housing etc. Much policy is currently driven by pressure groups and their funding, however twelve Jurers randomly chosen from among the population are far more fair minded than pressure groups, so restoring true Common Law would instantly improve justice and equality.

We have quotas for everything that women want to be wherever they are a minority but not the other way around for men, we should have neither, these are immutable identity groups, we should instead refuse to prescribe quotas and special treatment,  What a rich and exciting world it would be with equal opportunity for people to be who they want to be and not worry about equal group outcomes, people are different, celebrate it.

Often when equality is discussed we look at the top of society to see who has the most power or earns the most money, for example the people on the boards of top companies and those at the top in politics, entertainment etc. but this is to look at a tiny proportion of the population and does not reflect the vast majority of human lives.

Equality of opportunity should cover all aspects of society: The Criminal Justice System. Relationships, dating, the legal minefield. Reproductive Rights. Family Courts and Domestic Violence. Education. After School Clubs and Organisations. Role Models - educational, mothers, fathers, family, society and entertainment. Being Valued and Self Esteem. Employment. Health Care. Homelessness. Suicide. Societies Empathy. Forced Involuntary circumcision of male infants.

Equality of opportunity is motivational and important for a fair society whereas a policy of equal outcomes is inevitably unfair and sidelines whole groups of people. Everyone should be free to choose a career and receive a fair and equal chance of getting that job and progressing in it, regardless of whether it is a field that is currently dominated by women or by men and decisions should be solely based on merit, your ability and effort.

Education is different we are not solely concerned here with career opportunities for teachers but with the educational opportunities of pupils / students, we must do our best for all children, boys as well as girls need good role models.

Thank you for visiting Equal Opportunity Society, please have a look around and return from time to time to see the latest additions to the site. One of the pages that will expand is "Freedom Issues", this website aims to motivate and assist taking action to improve society by making it fairer for everyone.

    Thank you.

The wealthy bank owners, investors and corporate monopolists seek to make people, governments and global institutions dependent on them in order to control them. Governments also seek to make us dependent on them in order to control us.  In the name of one crisis or another they take away freedoms and rights, they monitor our every move and take control of us by coming between us and the necessities of life. They have taken away the corrective power of a justice system in the hands of the people, as it was written into Magna Carta. Powerful individuals began subverting it as soon as the ink dried, yet it stands for all time against tyranny by whether by government or any other group or individual, we need to stand by it and make use of it, and we need to enforce it. In short we the people need to grow up and take responsibility for our own justice system.

Our ancestors have been through all this before and gave us the proven Trial by JURY justice system, set up to give us cost free prosecution of others importantly including people in government and big business, tested before twelve peers. Over time, the powerful have twisted the law to exempt themselves with immunity from prosecution. Not only that but it was intended that  if bad laws were made the Jury could declare Not Guilty even if the so-called offence had happened and intentionally happened, the reason is that no one is required to obey bad law (there is no guilt in that), so the Jury are actually testing the law as well. A bad law then begins the process of being expunged.

WE MUST DEFEND AND RESTORE WHAT WAS WISELY BESTOWED ON US. FIRSTLY WE SHOULD TRY TO REPAIR OUR EXISTING JUSTICE SYSTEM BUT IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WE MUST BUILD A NEW JUSTICE AND ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM.

In the UK the RESTORATION AMENDMENT is proposed by the Democracy Defined Campaign, please take a look.

Men and Boys’ Issues in Brief

A very brief bullet point list of men and boys’ issues follows. For a slight amplification of what these issues entail – but still in brief – read the Introduction to the Disadvantages faced by Men and Boys.

Educational disadvantage of boys, from aged 5 to university.
Lack of recognition of, or assistance for, male victims of partner abuse.
    Men’s shorter life expectancy.
Substantially less research funding on men-only diseases compared with women-only diseases.
Averaged over the last five years, the male suicide rate in England was 3.3 times that of females (in Wales, 4.3 times), suicide being the commonest cause of death in males under 45.
Men have virtually no paternity rights.
Paternity fraud is rife, is extremely damaging to men and children, but society regards it as just fine.
Fathers are greatly disadvantaged in child contact arrangements after partner separation.
False allegations are commonly used as a tactic against men in the family courts.
At any point in time, one in four fathers do not live with their children (under 16), most often against their wishes.
Only about 50% of fathers will live with their dependent children continuously to their 16th birthday.
The bar is being ever lowered on what is regarded as sexual assault by males on females, whilst the penalties are becoming more severe. The result is that women have the power to destroy a man for minor offences or issues of perception.
In contrast, sexual assault of males (of all ages) by females remains largely unrecognised by society and the criminal justice system alike.
Grossly inequitable treatment of men and women in the criminal justice system. Three out of every four men in prison would not be there if they were treated like women.
Whilst we hear a great deal about the “pay gap”, the power must surely reside with who spends the money. Women certainly spend at least as much money as men, whoever earns it.
For full time workers under 40 years old the gender pay-rate gap is negligible.
For part time workers the gender pay-rate gap is in favour of women (about 5%).
Men work 609 million hours per week at paid work compared to women’s 394 million hours. Men also work for more continuous years over life. Hence, men work more and are home less – this is contribution, not privilege.
We hear a great deal about men not pulling their weight as regards domestic and childcare chores, but studies show that totalling all work, men and women work about the same number of hours.
Men are 96% of workplace fatalities, and are far more likely to suffer injuries at work or to get work related diseases than women.
Women seek “equality” with men only in desirable occupations (consultants, professors, Board members, MPs, etc) not in the jobs that 99% of men do – the nasty, dirty, dangerous jobs that lead to the above fatalities.
Men (or boys) are more likely to be the victims of violence than women (or girls) – despite the constant exhortations that we should “end violence against women”.
Around 90% of homeless rough sleepers are men.
99% of war deaths and casualties are men.
Female genital mutilation is illegal and universally reviled. Male genital mutilation is regarded as perfectly acceptable and without disbenefit to the man (it isn’t). Half a million African boys killed or maimed in the last eight years by botched circumcisions goes unnoticed.
Female suffering is newsworthy, male suffering is not (e.g., Boko Haram – how many people know that their main activity is killing boys?).
There is a lack of action on under-representation of men in certain professions, contrasting with the huge focus on assisting women into areas where they are under-represented (e.g., STEM, though women now dominate in STEMM).
Male-only organisations have systematically been obliged to accept females, whilst the reverse is not true.
History is being systematically misrepresented as gendered oppression, rather than the oppression of the many, of both sexes, by the few, of both sexes. Both sexes had to fight for the vote; both sexes had to fight to be educated.
